Womens Mobile ClinicAs a Mobile Health Mammography Technologist I you will play an essential role in expanding access to lifesaving breast cancer screening by bringing highquality mammography services directly to communities across the Denver metro region. Working in a mobile setting offers the unique opportunity to serve diverse underserved populations who may otherwise face barriers to receiving regular screenings. As part of a compassionate and dedicated team the Mobile Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing digital mammography exams educating patients and ensuring high standards of patient careno matter where services are offered.
Denver Healths Mobile Mammography Screening Program offers 2D and 3D breast imaging services in 25 locations annually traveling to different sites throughout the region including community health centers homeless shelters churches and other locations. If youre motivated by making an impact on public health and enjoy working in communitycentered environments this position is a good fit for you.
As one primary component of this job and under the direction of a radiologist performs screening and diagnostic mammograms at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical imaging procedures that entail application of ionizing radiation; therefore prudent judgment strong technical skills and a commitment to patient safety are considered requisite professional characteristics for individuals assuming the position as a mammography technologist. Another secondary component of this job involves assisting the radiologist in performing interventional breast procedures and breast ultrasound examinations in order to contribute to a diagnosis.
