Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join our academics team. We are currently in search of a passionate professor for an undergraduatelevel Information Systems class for the upcoming Summer quarter starting July 7 2025 in a hybrid format. The hybrid format is described as teaching the course in both the inperson and online modalities. This role requires 11 inperson meeting sessions for 2 hours every week held at a predetermined scheduled time (day/evening) at a specific Strayer University Campus. The balance of the course is instructed asynchronously online.

We believe in a strong facultystudent relationship and building a community in the classroom.
Teach courses as assigned from a predesigned curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide highquality instruction.
Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum using technology and videos.
Arrive oncampus at least half an hour prior to the start time of inperson sessions per week during the academic quarter.
Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience for the online component of the course.
Be available to students via email phone text and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.
Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.
Adhere to University policies and procedures.
Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.
Job Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint etc. software and overall computer skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.
Proficiency in oral presentation skills planning and organizing of course objectives.
Must have strong computer skills (Excel PowerPoint etc..
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Effective time management skills.
Work Experience:
Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.
Professional experience in Computer Science Information Technology Information Systems etc. is required.
For CIS261 ObjectOriented Computer Programming course: Professional experience in Software Development Software Engineering Programming etc. required.
Education: All degrees must be conferred and from an accredited institution to be considered.
Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems Information Technology Computer Science etc. required
Certificates licenses and registrations:
Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable).
For the CIS312Computer Architecture course CompTIA A Certification or TestOut equivalent is required.
Other:
Must be able to travel weekly to the required location(s).

Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
Travel via plane car and metro may be required to perform this job.

Effectively communicate both up and down the management chain.
Effectively cope with stressful situations.
Strong mental acuity.

Strayer University Adjunct Faculty are compensated based on the number and type of course(s) that are taught in a given quarter. Currently compensation for courses ranges from $2300 $3100.
