Job Description:
Elementary teachers are responsible for providing rigorous standardsbased and highly engaging learning environments for their scholars. Teachers will strive to ensure that all Success Academy scholars are empowered with the knowledge character and leadership skills to graduate from college and serve the common good.
Responsibilities & Duties:

Utilize curriculum to develop and implement standardsbased lesson plans based on the GRR (Gradual Release of Responsibility) that include an understanding and modeling of independent thinking skills creative problemsolving and evidencebased reasoning differentiating and scaffolding as needed.
Implement assessments that are aligned with daily weekly and unit objectives.
Use data to adjust short and longterm plans in order to meet students learning needs.
Collaborate with colleagues and seek feedback in the spirit of continuous improvement.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and student achievement; reflect on instructional practices to meet individual professional development goals.
Actively participate in professional development grade level and community meetings.
Establish and maintain relationships with students and families based on trust and regular communication; collaborate and communicate regularly with families about academic progress and behavior.
Establish and maintain high expectations and routines for academic work and classroom behavior.
Establish and reinforce expectations and accountability structures to maintain a positive focused classroom.
Maintain accurate records grade books and data tracking systems.
Contribute positively to a collaborative school environment.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Employment Logistics:

Staff Hours: 6:45 am to 3:00 pm MondayFriday or until all duties are completed for the day.
Student Contact Hours: 7:15 am to 2:30 pm MondayThursday and 7:15 am to 12:30 pm on Friday.
Professional development sessions are held every Friday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
All Staff are expected to attend and participate in all family events at the school.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree.
Valid Minnesota teaching license in content area (or ability to gain before start date).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with colleagues students and families.

Compensation:

Success Academys salary for this position is competitive and based on prior experience. In addition Success Academy offers a benefits plan that includes medical dental life insurance PTO Sick time and other incentives.
