Managing Director Infrastructure Services
Position Summary
Guggenheim Securities Information Management (GSIM) is seeking an experienced Managing Director Infrastructure Services to join its Information Management (IM) Leadership team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer this person will be a strategic business partner who shares ownership for both technology strategy and business value results; responsible for overseeing the enterprisewide IT infrastructure strategy ensuring the reliability security and scalability of the organizations IT infrastructure while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead and manage the IT infrastructure team including network server and storage engineers.
- Develop and implement IT infrastructure policies procedures and best practices to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Ensure the reliability security and scalability of the organizations IT infrastructure.
- Oversee the design implementation and maintenance of network server and storage systems.
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Manage the IT infrastructure budget including resource allocation and cost control.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in IT infrastructure technologies and practices.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in IT infrastructure operations.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and support to internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure teams and operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Indepth knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies including network server storage and cloud systems.
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL.
- Ability to analyze and interpret performance metrics and data.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Ability to map joint organizational vision and longterm thinking imagination and idea generation.
- Ability and comfort with working at executive levels.
- Highly skilled and experienced at negotiating conflict and problemsolving to achieve winwin outcomes at executive levels.
- Leading by example mentoring and motivating others across the IM organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire crossfunctional teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
- 15 years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL CCNA AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Work Location
- Currently this role is expected to be in the Chicago office Tuesday Thursday.
