Job Description
Ohel is actively seeking an experienced Child and Adolescent Therapist to join our dynamic and family centered clinic in Brooklyn. Responsibilities:
- Maintain a caseload in which you provide individual group and family psychotherapy onsite to children ages 618 and families.
- Utilize evidencebased practice models to ensure the efficacy and quality of treatment.
- Foster collaborative relationships with families employing a strengthbased approach to support therapeutic progress.
- Proactively engage with schools and other childserving systems as necessary ensuring seamless coordination and alignment of care.
- Complete all required documentation in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Valid license or limited permit in the state of New York required (MSW LMSW LCSW LMHC MHC LMFT MFT LCAT).
- 3 years experience in delivering therapy to children and families.
- Proficiency in evidencebased treatment models with preference given to those experienced in ChildCentered Play Therapy PCIT DBT CBT TFCBT CPP Sandtray play therapy and Functional Family Therapy.
- Fluency in any of the following languages is preferred: Hebrew Yiddish Russian Spanish Cantonese and Mandarin.
We are seeking a candidate with a warm empathetic and engaging demeanor who will connect with families while respecting parents expertise regarding their own children. Cultural competence is highly valued enhancing the candidates ability to relate to the client base. Strong assessment and diagnostic abilities as well as proficient documentation and writing skills are essential.
Full and part time opportunities available with additional performancebased incentives and a signon bonus. Two evenings or one evening and one Sunday are required weekly. Clinician will also provide coverage at specified time shifts during the workday for agency crisis line when not providing services.
Salary: $90000$95000
