Job Overview:
As the Sous Chef you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety. You will support the Executive Chef in menu planning food preparation inventory management and team supervision. Youll also work closely with the frontofhouse team to deliver an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards and in a timely manner.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to restaurant standards.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of food ensuring consistency quality and portion control.
- Monitor food inventory levels ordering supplies as needed and ensure proper storage to minimize waste.
- Ensure that the kitchen meets all food safety and sanitation standards including maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Assist with menu planning development and seasonal specials ensuring they align with the restaurants vision and concept.
- Collaborate with the frontofhouse team to ensure seamless communication and delivery of food.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints related to food ensuring prompt and professional resolution.
