Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director Strategy Delivery the User Acceptance Testing Lead is responsible for Strategy and of User Acceptance Testing for Haventree Bank (Haventree). The mandate includes management of UAT lifecycle in partnership with business stakeholders UAT test case creation and partnering with QA lead in Technology for QA activities such as defect management entry/exit criteria sign offs and UAT documentation.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

UAT Planning and :

  • Develop comprehensive UAT Strategy and Test Plans including Test case on core banking digital banking and other key platforms
  • Lead UAT readiness assessments and entry/exit criterias and ensure enterprise processes are followed
  • Lead UAT activities with several stakeholders primarily business (e.g. Servicing Operations Finance Product Risk Legal and Compliance) Technology and external vendors as required
  • Manage UAT environments and test data requirements in partnership with the QA Lead in Technology team
  • Oversee defect management and resolution processes throughout the QA life cycle with focus on UAT defects and overall production readiness including business sign off on UAT results.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a liaison between business teams and project team for UAT activities
  • Foster deep partnership with Technology QA Lead and ensure ongoing alignment on QA plans timelines dependencies entry and exit criteria and reporting.
  • Ensure business requirements from each area (e.g. Servicing Operations Finance Compliance Legal etc. are covered as part of User Acceptance test plans and test cases.
  • Train and Coach business testers on UAT procedures
  • Facilitate UAT workshops and sign off meetings ensuring adherence to enterprise processes and establish a go forward UAT process for the bank.
  • Resolve conflicts professionally with delivery excellence mindset

Quality and Reporting

  • Prepare and produce UAT metrics and status reporting in alignment to the overall QA strategy
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the testing cycle.
  • Lead UAT exit criteria process and go/no go decisions in alignment to program governance framework.
  • Provide transparent reporting to program and broader stakeholders on UAT in alignment to overall QA reports. Example deliverables include UAT Metrics dashboards Defect analysis reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degrees Diplomas & Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business IT or related field

Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:

  • 7 years of experience in quality assurance and testing experience preferably in the banking industry
  • Detailed knowledge of UAT best practices and frameworks including ability to work with senior business stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
  • Experience with test management data management and defect tracking tools
  • The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong documentation and organizational navigation skills
  • Detailoriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Team collaboration and relationship building

Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficient in test management tools (e.g. ALM Zephyr)
  • Experience in requirements management tools (e.g. Jira) and ability to map requirements to test cases
  • Knowledge of banking applications and systems
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall testing approaches
  • Knowledge of project governance and controls in QA life cycle as part of SDLC with focus on UAT
  • Familiarity with OSFI guidelines FINTRAC requirements and other relevant Canadian banking regulations is an asset
