Job Description
The Biostatistics Program in the School of Public Health SPH at the Louisiana State University HealthNew Orleans LSUHSC NO) is hiring an Assistant/Associate tenure tract/tenured faculty position in Biostatistics. Applicants must hold a doctorate degree. Preferred candidates will have a doctorate degree in Biostatistics Statistics Public Health or a related field. Applicants with a doctorate degree in a different field who either have a masters degree or demonstrated experience in one of the related fields will also be considered for this position. In addition candidates being considered for this position will have evidence of existing (at the Associate Professor level) or potential (at the assistant professor level) for establishing an independent extramurally funded research program a demonstrated interest in teaching and a commitment to biostatistics and public health. Candidates will be expected to teach biostatistics courses collaborate with other researchers establish independent externally funded research advise and mentor students and postdoctoral fellows. The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary and startup funds for research support. The program offers a highly collegial environment with growth potential.
