This position requires effective teaching and advising techniques for a diverse student population excellent oral and written communication skills and a commitment to the comprehensive state college mission. The successful candidate will teach culinary skills and knowledge to provide students with the competence to become skilled in the field and to secure a job in their new career. Mastery in food sanitation and safety is essential as well as indepth knowledge of kitchen utensils and appliances. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to review and make recommendations for curriculum updates select textbooks prepare lesson plans and instructional aides and deliver class material in a logical manner while maintaining high standards of conduct to provide an orderly safe and productive environment in a dynamic classroom setting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with an associate degree and 4 years of relevant work experience in culinary; appropriate occupational certification may be a substitute for two years of relevant work experience. Successful completion and clearance of a background investigation.
