Position Summary

The Master Plumber is responsible for the daily operations of the Installation department within a local field office. Provides leadership and tactical on daily production activities involving inventory management job scheduling preconstruction walkthroughs service resolution training and management of local thirdparty installation network.

Must have active FL Master Plumbers License to be considered

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assign installation jobs to thirdparty installer network based on availability and geographic proximity using proprietary scheduling application when possible
  • Identify opportunities in daily operations to pull forward jobs and maximize speed to installation
  • Work with the customer to schedule jobs based on installer availability and customer preferences
  • Review and publish daily installation and service reports to identify wins and opportunities for improvement
  • Work with office administrative staff to ensure organized workflow of jobs from schedule to install completion
  • Accurately enter job orders into the Operations App for scheduling inventory and job costing purposes
  • Order product based on job specs and products related to installation process to maintain adequate stock and custom inventory
  • Perform administrative duties such as building job packets and solving funding issues
  • Assist thirdparty installation partners on job site as needed with product staging and transport
  • Partner with Service and Sales Operations teams to proactively address customer issues and resolve on first service call
  • Train coach and develop installation employees and contractors both in the office and in the field
  • Improve subcontractor retention rates through impactful training and engagement
  • Responsible for driving proficiency and efficiency amongst installation subcontractors
  • Partner with leadership on identifying systemic training gaps and propose solutions to address gap
  • Collaborate with all office and corporate functional teams to meet/exceed office and regional goals
  • Recruit subcontractors as needed to expand installation capacity
  • Follow established job site safety rules OSHA guidelines and company safety policies and procedures
  • Must hold a valid drivers license.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of successful experience in home construction remodeling and/or installation project management
  • Track record of successfully recruiting training coaching onboarding subcontractors
  • Demonstrate superior quality and attention to detail in all facets of the installation process
  • Ability to teach others through handson and documentationbased learning methods
  • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without dropping the ball.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced highenergy teamoriented environment and have a roll up your sleeves and today not tomorrow mentality.
  • Apply active listening skills through the ability to comprehend information presented and respond thoughtfully.
  • Detailoriented and can focus on the task at hand no matter how minute by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for communicating with internal and external parties in a manner that is both articulate and professional.
  • Ability to logically connect ideas scrutinize and evaluate arguments find inconsistencies and errors in work solve complex problems and engage in reflection.
  • Ability to provide timely and empathetic help through inperson phone email and social media avenues that keeps the coworker or customers needs at the forefront of every interaction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to recognize understand and manage ones own emotions as well as others and foster positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Holding oneself responsible and being selfdriven in accomplishing business goals adhering to policies and being responsible for ones own actions performance and decisions.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Project and/or Access).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1B status).

Preferred Knowledge Skills Abilities or Certifications:

  • Prior skilled trades experience in plumbing electric and/or carpentry
  • Prior experience in residential home improvement in areas such as walkin tubs one day baths kitchen refacing replacement windows stairlifts and/or water filtration systems

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10 domestic travel required.

Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:

  • Additional Hours May Be Required (Exempt Positions)

Physical Requirements

  • Field Office/Manufacturing/Construction Environment
  • Performs indoor work in a climatecontrolled environment and outside work in varying temperatures and climates.
  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
