Position Overview
The Sr Software Engineer support the development and ongoing maintenance of Adaptives production software systems. The Sr Software Engineer works closely with project management development leads and QA Automation Engineering Lab leadership Scrum teams by helping to design and then implement software solutions integral to Adaptives current and future engineering road maps.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Responsible for all phases of software development including specification design implementation test deployment of software that supports Adaptives production software systems.
- Assists in troubleshooting and resolving production system issues
- All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or certified Bootcamp and/or 10 years of relevant experience or Masters degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience with a strongly typed objectoriented language
- Extensive experience with scripting languages
- Experience with relational databases
- Fullstack experience with web services
- Familiarity with standard software development best practices: source code control unit testing incode documentation and automated build environments
- Ability to work in Linux environments
- Superior communication skills in a highly diverse crossdiscipline environment
Preferred
- Java and Python experience
- Concurrent or distributed computing experience
- Experience with regulated software development
- Experience with Linuxapplications spread across a hybrid cloud environment (AWS Azure collocation facility)
- Experience with Nextgeneration sequencing data or LIMS systems
- Experience with bioinformatics
Working Conditions
- Regular weekday work hours with occasional weekend/afterhours planned or unplanned work as needed.
- Some travel based on team building events and project related work

Compensation
Salary Range: $132000 $198000
Other compensation elements include:

The base salary range represents a minimumtomaximum salary (or hourly rate) available to candidates upon extension of offer. Base salary is thoughtfully considered upon offer and is determined through multiple evaluation checks throughout the interview process including: a candidates ability to meet minimum qualifications (skills/experience/education) a candidates ability to thoughtfully address preferred qualifications current market conditions and internal pay equity. Listed base salary is exclusive of bonus commission equity differential pay benefits and other incentives.
