As an Engineering Manager at rePurpose Global you will be responsible for managing and growing a team of 3 engineers while serving as an independent contributor as required. Were looking for a player/coach who loves to build products while mentoring and growing a team of engineers. You will collaborate heavily with our product managers and other business leaders throughout the company to ensure alignment between our products and people.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of fullstack engineers: provide mentorship and career guidance organize sprint plans run performance reviews.
- Independent contributions: as a player/coach you will be expected to contribute code directly.
- Collaborate with product and design teams on roadmapping refining requirements and estimation.
- Work closely with the Head of Engineering to refine our processes and technical architecture.
- Project manage the teams work ensuring adherence to deadlines and best practices.
- Excellent leadership skills combining a lowego approach competitive spirit and ability to motivate and empower others.
- A minimum of 7 years of total experience with at least 2 years of managing direct reports.
- Experience working in a startup environment with a fast pace and evolving needs.
- Experience with Typescript Nodejs Relational databases (we use Postgres but any similar experience works! Modern frontend frameworks (we use Vue but experience with React or Angular works too) Cloud infrastructure: we use AWS but experience with GCP or Azure is acceptable CI/CD
- Biased towards action You are thoughtful in planning how to build technology but are not afraid to make decisions and do the work that is required to get results

We offer a flexible salary range for this job posting that will be customized based on the qualifications of the chosen candidate. Our compensation strategy takes into account various factors including education experience knowledge skills abilities internal equity and market alignment.
Location Preference:
The role is hybrid working we are looking for the team members to be located at our head office in Bangalore with weekly inoffice days. We have a truly global team with members across Miami New York Philadelphia Los Angeles London Nairobi Bangalore Delhi Mumbai and Jakarta.
