Job Description
Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
The SEM will promote awareness of the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) industry best practices and professional standards and other authoritative exerciserelated initiatives to a variety of stakeholders from one or more national critical infrastructure sectors. The SEM will develop proactive communication strategies and campaigns initiate outreach and foster open communication across a broad stakeholder network craft and disseminate promotional materials via social media and other conventional channels and nurture stakeholder relationships. The SEM will develop mechanisms to identify and analyze trends and influence trend movement with stakeholder engagement strategies. The SEM will develop organize maintain and distribute exercise program content on digital platforms as directed.
The SEM supports the sustained delivery of a comprehensive fullspectrum exercise support service in compliance with HSEEP guidelines. HSEEP defines two types of exercises: discussionbased and operationsbased. Discussionbased exercises familiarize participants with plans policies agreements and procedures. Examples of these exercises are seminars workshops tabletop exercises and games. Operationsbased exercises validate the plans policies agreements and procedures that were reviewed in discussionbased exercises. Examples of operationsbased exercises are drills functional exercises and fullscale exercises.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree
- 4 years leading marketing and promotional campaigns
- Two years leading stakeholder engagement strategy
- Two years leading interagency and crossfunctional coordinationprojects or initiatives
- Two years experience developing and/or interpreting operational or programmatic doctrine
