SBG a DSS Inc. company specializing in engineering information technology cybersecurity intelligence and training is looking for a hardworking resultsoriented Cybersecurity Engineer. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude looking to join our rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate for this position is a hardworking experienced individual who can excel in a very fastpaced government contractor environment.

The position is based onsite in El Segundo CA.

TheCybersecurity Engineer will:

  • Perform systems engineering activities in the areas of cybersecurityRisk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment & Authorization(A&A) in accordance with DoDI 8510.01
  • Perform cryptographic System Security Engineering (SSE) incompliance with NSA requirements and regulations
  • Define security requirements architecture and design for embeddedand largescale distributed DoD space and ground control systems
  • Apply risk management concepts to mitigate vulnerabilities in systemsecurity architectures
  • Interface with the Space Force customer system stakeholders andexternal contractors to coordinate cybersecurity and cryptographicrequirements and architecture flow down from the system level toindividual elements of the system
  • Support integration activities of cybersecurity for space and groundnetworks
  • Participate and propose inputs for verification and validation ofcybersecurity requirements
  • Perform cybersecurity planning and scheduling for RMF andcoordinate efforts to categorize and assign impact values forconfidentiality integrity and availability of systems per CNSSI 1253 toproduce a tailored set of RMF security controls per NIST 80053
  • Provide critical inputs to the Program Protection Plan and assist inidentification of Critical Program Information (CPI)/CriticalComponents (CC)
  • Provide critical inputs to Cybersecurity Strategies and assistgovernment with milestone approvals

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required to beconsidered for this position
  • 2 years of work experience in System EngineeringArchitecture/Design anddeliverable technical documents and reports
  • 2 years of work experience in Information Assurance (IA)/CyberSecurity
  • Understanding of the discipline and practice of Systems Engineeringthroughout the system lifecycle phases of concept developmentproduction use support and retirement
  • Understanding of modern computing architectures including CI/CDmicroservices cloud and container technologies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word Excel Powerpoint)
  • Strong interpersonal organizational and teambuilding skills
  • Strong writing and oral presentation skills; ability to write finalversion
  • Background in software design


Desired:

  • Experience working on DoD programs
  • Proficient understanding of RMF process
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity Requirements Verification andValidation (IV&V)
  • Familiarity with NIST 80053 and CNSSI 1253 RMF Analysis andAccreditation
  • Familiarity with Network Engineering
  • Familiarity with Communications Systems
  • Familiarity with Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E)
  • Security certification (CISSP)
  • TS/SCI clearance

Education:

  • Required:BS in technical field such as engineering mathematics physics orcomputer science. An equivalent technical degree (such as MS intechnical field such as engineering mathematics physics orcomputer science)
  • Desired: BS or MS degree in IA/Cyber security. Masters degree in technical field such as engineering mathematicsphysics or computer science
