Design Studio Manager

Job Overview

Red Cedar is looking for a Design Studio Manager. This individual will play a pivotal role in defining creating and implementing the design studio processes within our organization. This position will oversee project management coordinate design activities and ensure consistency in design quality aligning with both business objectives and client expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and passion for design in the new home industry as well as excellent leadership & project management skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine a customercentric design studio experience that aligns with the homebuyers journey.
  • Define and develop the endtoend design studio processes ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Create and implement a streamlined and clear communication process and workflow between internal teams and clients
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams & partners
  • Work closely with purchasing and construction teams to ensure design selections align with supply chain capabilities and build feasibility.
  • Ensure all design choices align with local building codes company construction standards and budget constraints.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance reviews to ensure consistency and adherence to brand standards.
  • Establish standards and best practices for design workflows from concept through delivery
  • Oversee design projects from concept to completion
  • Manage project schedules timelines and deadlines
  • Coordinate with clients vendors and other stakeholders to align objectives with organizational goals
  • Manage the studios daily operations including scheduling workflow and resources
  • Ensure the studio is wellmaintained and organized
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Address client inquiries and concerns
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements ensuring design solutions meet needs and are within scope
  • Ensure that designs are aesthetically pleasing and functional
  • Guide customers through the selections process ensuring they have a seamless and enjoyable experience.
  • Provide professional design consultations to help homebuyers make confident and informed choices.
  • Stay uptodate on the latest design trends and technologies
  • Develop and manage project budgets
  • Track expenses and ensure that projects stay within budget
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to design studio efficiency customer satisfaction and revenue contribution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Ability to lead projects

Proven experience in interior design and project management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients

Ethical and honest

Bachelors degree in interior design or a related field is preferred

Schedule:

MondayFriday standard daytime hours; 8:30 am 5 pm

Job Type:

Fulltime position averaging 40 hours per week

Ability to Commute/Relocate:

Charlotte NC: Ability to reliably commute or willingness to relocate before starting work (required).

Work Environment:

Officebased environment with a business casual dress code. Standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers and filing cabinets are used in this role.
