The City of Bothell Prosecutors Office is looking for a driven organized and efficient law student to serve their Rule 9 Internship with us. This internship provides students an excellent opportunity to practice their legal writing skills to gain familiarity with the rules of criminal procedure and evidence and to learn how to interact professionally with other attorneys.

This is a 1year commitment: Depending on the school this may be from May 2025 April 2026 OR from June 2025 May 2026.

  • Summer break: 40 hours and is benefit eligible (LimitedTerm Full Time)
  • During School: less than 20 hours per week and is not benefit eligible (LimitedTerm Part Time)

What will you do in this position
  • Be involved at every step of the criminal process.
  • Independently run the incustody and arraignments court calendars.
  • Conduct jury/bench trials during the monthly trial week.
  • Do legal research.
  • Write legal response briefs.
  • Argue motions when necessary.
