Job Description
Position: SCDC Extended Care Worker
Reports To: SCDC Camp Director
Employment Type: Seasonal PartTime (Summer)
Schedule: MondayFriday 3:00 PM 6:00 PM
Location: Schaumburg Christian School
The SCDC Extended Care Worker plays a vital role in ensuring a safe structured and engaging environment for students after the main camp day ends. This position requires energy patience and a heart for serving students in a Christcentered atmosphere. Extended Care Workers supervise students lead activities and provide a smooth transition for parents picking up their children. This is a highenergy role that requires initiative attentiveness and a commitment to maintaining a positive and organized space.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and Engage Actively monitor and interact with students ensuring safety and participation in activities.
- Spiritual Encouragement Model Christlike character demonstrating patience kindness and leadership.
- Structured Activities Lead games crafts or quiet time as needed to keep students engaged and occupied.
- Safe Dismissal Ensure an organized pickup process by verifying parent/guardian authorizations and maintaining order.
- Conflict Resolution Address minor behavioral issues with wisdom and biblical principles.
- Team Collaboration Work closely with fellow leaders and camp staff to provide seamless care.
- General Assistance Help with light cleanup organizing materials and ensuring the space is left in good condition.

Additional Requirements
- Commitment to the Full Summer Schedule (June 2August 8 3:00 PM 6:00 PM).
- Experience working with children in a school camp or church setting is a plus.
- Attendance at training event (Friday May 30th. This will include CPR/AED training)
- In addition to the inperson training event you will also be required to complete an online training course and mandated reporter training.
