Join our team as a Press Relations & Communications Manager where youll shape our media strategy elevate our brand through impactful storytelling and secure executive visibility at prestigious events in tech business and education. Your expertise in building strong journalist relationships and identifying newsworthy opportunities will drive our voice in the market. With a passion for language learning youll lead our press office in Spain contributing to consistent and engaging communication across global markets.

What youll be doing:
Media Relations & Corporate Storytelling
- Develop and execute PR strategies to position the company as a leader in its industry.
- Craft compelling corporate stories and press materials (press releases media kits feature articles) leveraging assets from brand and research amongst others and collaborating closely with key stakeholders from across Preply.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets journalists and influencers in tech and business sectors.
- Monitor relevant news and trends for the company across tech education and language learning identifying white spaces and watchouts for the brand
- Act as primary point of contact for all inbound press inquiries
Content Development via CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing product strategy and leadership teams to align messaging and campaigns.
- Ideate media angles and develop content supporting 360 brand campaigns .
- Create and leverage datadriven narratives together with research and SEO in order to transform findings into compelling stories reports articles opeds or infographics that can be shared across SEO owned media and PR to enhance audience engagement and media presence.
- Provide guidance on internal communications for eventrelated updates and achievements.
Executive Speaking Engagements (press or events)
- Plan and manage the companys presence at conferences and industry events.
- Coordinate executive participation including speaking engagements panel discussions and networking opportunities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop impactful messaging and presentations and presences (whether at events or interviews)
- Identify potential interview opportunities and shape content that aligns with organizational goals
Crisis Communication
- Develop and implement crisis communication strategies.
- Serve as a spokesperson or prepare key executives for media interactions during crises.
- Partner closely with the customer care team to ensure smooth resolution and crisis avoidance and support crisis communications efforts when needed.
Analytical & Reporting
- Set right KPIs for PR presence monitor media coverage to measure the success of PR efforts
- Identify opportunities for our narrative and metrics
- Analyze public perception and recommend strategies to improve the organizations reputation.
What you need to succeed:
- 8 years of experience in public relations media relations or corporate communications including tech industry.
- Proven experience navigating and executing PR strategies in the U.S. and North American markets.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must
- Prior experience in shaping corporate narratives
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor content for different audiences.
- Experience managing PR agencies to KPIs across a variety of markets
- Experience working on longterm strategies with senior management and building strong working relationships with Legal & Marketing
- Proven track record in managing events and coordinating executive speaking engagements.
