Job Description
This job is fully remote but you must work from one of the following states: CT DE MA NJ NH NY RI VT.
As Building Energy Principal you will:
- Steer the strategic direction of CETs building decarbonization team developing and implementing a roadmap for expanding impact in the commercial energy space through new partnerships internal skillbuilding and innovative program design and delivery methods.
- Advise on strategies to enhance adoption in underserved communities with an emphasis on equity and accessibility.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory developments integrating leadingedge solutions into CETs projects.
- Foster relationships with clients regulatory bodies and industry partners promoting CETs mission and initiatives. Represent CET at conferences workshops and industry forums to share expertise and promote building decarbonization efforts.
- As an active member of CETs Management Team collaborate with other leaders to enhance organizational effectiveness. Provide technical guidance to the Technical Services Department and mentor staff encouraging professional growth in energy efficiency and decarbonization fields.
- Participate in travel throughout New England and attend national conferences and training sessions as required.
You will bring the following to this position:
- A Bachelors degree in engineering energy management or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in energy efficiency electrification and decarbonization including a strong background in both residential and commercial sectors.
- A deep understanding of energyefficient technologies electrification strategies and carbon reduction frameworks financing mechanisms carbon accounting and decarbonization incentives relevant to commercial energy. Ability to successfully mentor and disseminate knowledge to others.
- Ability to build partnerships and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including clients regulatory bodies and industry partners.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and drive strategic initiatives and to successfully bring internal stakeholders together to achieve ambitious goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional problemsolving organizational and timemanagement skills. A proactive and adaptable approach to complex challenges.
- Ability to pass a drug screen background check and motor vehicle record check.
Driving is an essential function of this role and employment with CET is contingent upon an acceptable driving record. Applicants with Type A violations on their motor vehicle record check may be deemed ineligible for hire based on the nature severity and timing of the offense.
Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:
Must have a remote office setup with reliable highspeed internet free from distractions and interruptions. Willingness to travel for conferences client meetings and project engagements as required.Daily requirements may include but are not limited to the following: Environment: Home office environment. Physical Demands: Walking sitting standing keying and repetitive movements. Equipment Used: Computer cell phone and office equipment.

Compensation and Benefits:
At CET we are committed to transparency and equity in our compensation practices. The compensation range in the job posting reflects the range of pay available for this role. Individual compensation will be determined based on various factors including but not limited to the candidates qualifications skills and experience.
CET provides you with excellent benefits including 3 weeks of vacation 13 holidays and personal/sick time; medical dental and vision insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; and a retirement plan with a 3 company match. CET provides a monthly $85 stipend for your home internet and/or phone expenses.
This is a fulltime exempt position.You may work remotely or may work out of our office in Northampton Massachusetts.CET will provide you with a laptop and other office technology.
