Positions / Locations:
- 2 Primary/Junior Teachers at One Kids Place: 400 McKeown Ave North Bay (July 2Aug 1
- 1 Intermediate/Senior Teacher at LOTUS HANDS The Family Health Network: 770 John Street North Bay (July 2Aug 1
- 1 Intermediate/Senior Teacher at School of Success House: 140 Elmwood Ave. North Bay (July 2Aug 1
Required Teaching Qualifications:
- A Valid Certificate of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
- Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
- Qualifications as required in the Primary/Junior/Intermediate/Senior Divisions
- Special Education Specialist Qualification or Special Education Part 2 and evidence of working towards Specialist
Position Criteria:
- Ability to work with adult students who have complex needs and/or developmental disabilities who might require support with selfregulation behavior management and/or social learning and communication
- Ability to work collaboratively as a part of a multifaceted team supporting students in their academic learning within a clinical/therapeutic setting
- Ability to implement differentiated instruction to support a wide variety of adult student learning needs including students who have experienced trauma
- Effective communication and reporting skills
- Experience working with Independent Learning courses and/or online learning content
- Ability to write and implement Individual Plans of Care
- Valid drivers licenseand willingness to travel to more than one site if necessary (mileage will be paid)
- Recent valid vulnerable sector check and criminal reference check (if not currently employed with NNDSB)
