Position based in Warsaw

We are looking for a highly motivated Corporate Sales Trader to Join our Carbon trading desk in Warsaw.

Fluent Lithuanian and Russian required

The role


This person will be responsible for developing a portfolio of client accounts to trade within the Baltic countries and building strong longterm relationships. As a corporate sales trader youll be part of our frontoffice workforce advising clients on their net zero journey and trading carbon allowances on their behalf. For this specific position we are looking for a candidate with a great passion for trading and a strong commercial mindset. You will assist big events conduct webinars conferences visit clients on a regular basis and become an expert in the carbon industry.

More about the Role and Core Responsibilities:


  • Play a key role in establishing Vertis as a key player in emissions offsetting for Baltic countries
  • Be an expert in guiding potential clients in their understanding and inclusion of their sector into the European Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS)
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market including regulations trends risks opportunities and competitors
  • Seek and establish partnerships across the industry
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of new customers and counterparts prioritize your leads and turn them into clients and transactions
  • Introduce ETS and other carbon offsetting mechanisms to assist clients in complying with the regulation and/or reducing their emissions
  • Actively develop strategies to pursue and win business opportunities and increase profitability
  • Provide clients with essential market intelligence & analysis to support pricing trading and risk mitigation strategies
  • Build and represent Vertiss brand and voice in the market online inperson and through conferences and PR initiatives

We believe you will be great for this role if you have


  • 1 4 years of solid experience in a sales position
  • Are a strategic and commercial thinker with a substantial entrepreneurial drive to build a business and take deals through to financial close
  • Passion and interest to expand your knowledge and expertise into the EU ETS market
  • Strong communication skills
  • Native in Lithuanian and Russian speaker
  • Driving license is a must regular travel to customers is required
  • Relevant degree in Economics Finance Business Administration or related isNECESSARY as per regulatory requirements
