Job Summary: The Restaurant Supervisor is a key member of the Food and Beverage Management Team in this capacity the Restaurant Supervisor will support the F&B Management team in overseeing food and beverage operations ensuring that all team members deliver excellent service to members and guests. Your role will focus on supervising daytoday operations ensuring service excellence and providing handson leadership to the restaurant team. This role requires a strong understanding of hospitality standards exceptional customer service skills and the ability to manage a team effectively. The supervisor will work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure the highest level of member satisfaction and operational excellence.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Team Support & Leadership:Assist the Management Team in supervising and leading a team of service staff including servers bartenders bussers and food runners. Motivate and guide team members to deliver highquality guest service.
  • Scheduling & Shift Operations:Help organize and maintain work schedules ensuring staffing levels meet the needs of the restaurant. Assist with daily shift transitions and preshift meetings to set expectations for the team.
  • Training & Development:Support the training of new team members and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure the service team delivers exceptional guest experiences.
  • Inventory Assistance:Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying the manager of any discrepancies or shortages. Help manage ordering processes and ensure the proper storage and handling of inventory.
  • Guest Service & Experience:Engage with members and guests to ensure their needs are met and exceed expectations responding to any concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Communication:Maintain effective communication with the kitchen and frontofhouse teams to ensure smooth service operations and timely food delivery.
  • Operational Support:Ensure adherence to health safety and sanitation standards. Assist with managing cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant.
  • Administrative Tasks:Support the Management Team with daily administrative duties such as payroll input reports pointofsale procedures and inventory tracking.
  • Team Engagement:Foster a positive work environment by maintaining high morale among the service team and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Because of the fluctuating demands of the Clubs operation it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore as an essential part of your job you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly you may be expected to perform other tasks not specifically addressed above.

Reports to: Food & Beverage Director

Supervises: Indirectly: Wait Staff Bartenders Food Runners and Bev Cart Attendants

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Previous experience in a food and beverage or hospitality setting is preferred. Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations including service techniques menu items and alcoholic beverages. Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment. Familiarity with health and safety regulations. Proficient in using computer systems and software for inventory management and reporting.

Language/Communication: Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or coworkers the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English). Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain open communication with managers and fellow coworker. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain effective communication between all staff members. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests or members of the community. Must display professional demeanor and communicate in professional language at all times.

Certificates/Licenses/Safety Training: California Responsible Beverage Alcohol Training and California Serv Safe Certification is required within 30 days of employment plus all other state mandated trainings assigned at time of onboarding (Workplace Violence Prevention Heat and Illness Prevention Supervisor Harassment Prevention etc..

KNOWEDLGE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enthusiasm for hospitality and creating positive member and guest experiences in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong leadership potential with the ability to support and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and support the team as needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work evenings weekends and holidays as required.
  • Must be ethical solutionoriented and possess strong attention to detail.
