Job Description
The Department of Psychiatry a department of the University of Rochester is recruiting a timeasreported faculty psychiatrist for the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) to help cover shifts as needed (not to exceed two eight hour shifts a week).
Join a vibrant multidisciplinary team providing acute psychiatric care in an 24hour emergency setting. This practice location is currently using the EPIC electronic medical records system and training will be provided.
NYS Licensed psychiatrists applying to this position will be expected to secure an individual DEA and will be required to complete a postoffer health assessment and drug test at the Universitys Employee Health site in Rochester NY at least one month prior to start.
With over 10000 visits per year we are the primary provider of emergency psychiatric services to our diverse and vibrant community in Western New York. Our program has a 24/7 interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists nurse practitioners RNs and social workers and encompasses a dedicated behavioral health space immediately adjacent to the Emergency Department Extended Observation Beds unit a Mobile Crisis Team and currently expanding with a Crisis Stabilization Hub.
