Department Title: Undergrad Intern Equity Trading
Location: The intern candidate must be able to commute into the Ft. Lauderdale FL office each week.
Position Summary:
Joining the Equity Trading team means stepping into a dynamic environment where adaptability to daily changes in macro and micro drivers is key.
As a trader you will need to be thoughtful about trading strategies algorithm or broker selection and possess an analytical mind to solve complex market factors. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of our organization by contributing to critical trading decisions and strategies.

We engage in active discussions about market trends and strategies ensuring a dynamic and interactive atmosphere. Collaboration extends beyond our team as we work closely with Portfolio Management and Analysts to achieve our goals.
An Equity Trading Intern at Franklin Templeton can expect to gain:
- A comprehensive understanding of global equity markets including the challenges of trading and liquidity
- Knowledge on transaction cost analysis providing you with valuable insights into the financial industry
Key responsibilities may include:
- Preparing endofday market summaries
- Delivering morning presentations
- Conducting quantitative work related to the analysis of transaction costs.
Ideal qualifications:
- Ability to code and stitch databases
- Adept at identifying inefficiencies while suggesting areas for improvement.
- Selfmotivated and capable of working independently.

Compensation Range:This is a fulltime internship where students will work approximately 37.5 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $2838 USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. At Franklin Templeton we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation.
