TITLE: Vice President of Digital Learning & Engagement (VP of Digital) REPORTS TO: CEO DEPARTMENT: Digital Learning FLSA STATUS: Exempt Location: Burlington MA
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for leading the strategic vision development and implementation of digital learning solutions at Aspen Publishing; overseeing the Digital team including technology product management engineering UX design and digital content production; and leading crossfunctional collaboration with departments across Aspen as well as external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership: Partner with Aspen leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive educational technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with the companys goals and market trends.
Product Development & Innovation: Oversee the design development and deployment of digital learning solutions including interactive digital books and elearning tools online courses adaptive learning platforms and AIdriven content delivery.
Leadership & Team Development: Build and lead a highperforming digital team fostering innovation and professional growth.
Technology Support and Integration: Ensure ongoing reliability and support of existing technology solutions for Aspen customers including proprietary and thirdparty technology solutions as well as Aspens eCommerce/branding website.
Market & User Research: Stay ahead of industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in digital education to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Budget & Finance: Partner with executive leadership to set annual digital revenue and cost targets and ensure budgets are met.
Data & Analytics: Leverage data analytics and user insights to optimize digital learning experiences and measure the impact of educational technologies.
Compliance & Accessibility: Ensure all digital products meet accessibility standards data privacy regulations security standards and industry best practices.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Education Technology Computer Science Business or a related field.
10 years of experience in educational technology product management digital learning or related fields with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of developing and launching successful digital learning solutions.
Strong understanding of learning science instructional design learning analytics and emerging technologies such as AI and adaptive learning.
Experience working with digital publishing technologies and LMS platforms (e.g. Canvas Blackboard Moodle Open edX).
Exceptional leadership communication and project management skills.
Ability to drive innovation while maintaining alignment with business objectives and revenue growth strategies.
