Description

SUMMARY

Work handson to oversee all information technology (IT) operations at Katmai in support of the business needs of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist VP of IT in the management coordination and administration of all computer and information systemrelated services projects and programs at Katmai.
  • Assume responsibility for all IT system implementations operations and monitoring.
  • Ensure that all systems are compliant with the current revision of NIST 800171.
  • Work with cybersecurity team to maintain System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM).
  • Provide support to cybersecurity and system administration teams for all thirdparty assessments formal audits and incident response activities.
  • Maintain Disaster Recovery Business Continuity and Incident Response Plans.
  • Supervise and assist in the administration of the following:
    • Physical and virtual servers.
    • Firewalls switches and wireless networking equipment.
    • Hosted VOIP and onprem PBX systems.
    • Cloud Service Providers with an emphasis on Microsoft solutions.
    • Enterprise backup solutions.
  • Responsible for project management of key IT initiatives including solution testing and rollouts.
  • Monitor IT Help Desk service levels and create process improvement plans to address goals for responsiveness and accuracy.
  • Work with VP of IT to engage in strategic planning and goal setting for the department.
  • Assist in developing a cybersecurity strategy that minimizes security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in managing external IT vendors and evaluating and negotiating vendor agreements.
  • Make recommendations to VP of IT regarding staff recruitment promotions assignments performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist VP of IT in projecting future needs modernizing IT infrastructure and improving IT service.
  • Develop and document system standards for computer and network devices.
  • Oversee the deployment and upgrades of IT hardware and software.
  • Ensure the tracking of all IT assets to include hardware software supplies and licenses.
  • Assume responsibility for employee morale and for addressing employee concerns and performance issues.
  • Oversee all ITrelated employee training.
  • Ensure IT department carries out tasks goals and initiatives in a timely and professional manner and that work reflects a high level of customer service.
  • Evaluate/update departmental policies and procedures on a periodic basis to ensure accuracy currency and effectiveness.
  • Interface with department leads in company to ensure IT services are meeting needs and expectations.
  • Assist in preparing financial budgets and presenting funding proposals as needed.
  • Prepare reports on IT department goals performance trends and forecasts.
  • Remain up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.
  • Research and provide solutions to technical challenges.
  • Keep VP of IT updated on task progress and IT initiatives.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide daytoday management of the IT department to include oversight of the groups support technicians system administrators developers and cybersecurity team.



Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology (IT) Information Systems (IS) Computer Science (CS) Business Management or another related field.
  • Minimum ten 10 years of experience in system engineering with enterprise IT infrastructure including servers network equipment workstations etc. in a domain environment.
  • Minimum five 5 years of experience managing IT support staff in an organization with 100 employees.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Cybersecurity Regulations including DFARS NIST 800171 CMMC and FedRAMP.
  • Demonstrable business management experience with a general understanding of finance operations marketing and human resources.
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructure across various departments and groups.
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Microsoft or Cybersecurity certifications preferred.
  • Strong focus on customer service and ability to balance security concerns with needs of end user.
  • Strong problemsolving and project management skills.
  • Detailoriented organized and focused on quality.
  • Extensive systems and network troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and resolve complex issues.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including professional grammar skills and speaking voice.

WORK SCHEDULE

Fulltime. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

Potential for travel. When required employee will need to complete an MVR check.

DRIVING REQUIREMENT

Must have or be able to attain a valid state drivers license and be insurable on the companys automobile insurance policy. Driving with or without accommodation may be required when traveling and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 5.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is expected to be remote; however the company reserves the right to require onsite work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent sitting using hands/fingers handling reaching with hands and arms talking hearing; occasional walking crawling or standing occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
