Job Description
Adjunct English Instructor will instruct various English courses. Successful candidate will be able to lead up to 11 credit hours via facetoface online and/or hybrid instructional practices. Semesterlong position; renewed each semester as needed. Responsibilities: Deliver beginner to intermediatelevel instruction in English and culture and other General Education courses as needed. (Facetoface and/or hybrid) Demonstrate a dedication to the departments core curriculum which emphasizes an appreciation of cultural and spiritual values creative expression and the history and experience of human society through courses in the Humanities fine arts and language. Demonstrate skills in technology and pedagogical tools (Blackboard; Microsoft Suite; video and web conferencing; etc.. Other related duties as required. Saint Augustines University SAU drawing on its rich legacy as an access institution is a studentfocused comprehensive educational institution that produces outstanding graduates prepared for personal and professional success. SAU was established in 1867 in Raleigh NC by the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina. A fouryear liberal arts university with an average enrollment of approximately 1000 SAU sits on 105 lush acres just north of Downtown Raleigh NC. The institution offers more than 20 undergraduate degrees and a Master of Public Administration MPA Program and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges SACSCOC . Additional Information: Employment is contingent upon a positive background check and proof of COVID 19 vaccination. Documentation of medical and religious exemptions will be accommodated. Official transcript is required upon acceptance of the position.

Required Qualifications
Masters degree in English or a masters degree with 18 graduate hours of English credits. Experience teaching courses in grammar literature or theory at the college (undergraduate or graduate) level which could have been as a teaching assistant adjunct or fulltime faculty. Ability to utilize computer technology at a proficient level to access data maintain records generate reports and communicate with others. Must be proficient in the Google suite and Microsoft Office programs (Word Excel PowerPoint and Publisher). Strong organizational skills and the capacity to work and thrive in a fastpaced educational environment. Demonstrated effective oral and written skills excellent intercultural skills.
