Job Description
We are looking for a detailoriented and skilled HVAC Fabricator to join our
team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating assembling and installing
sheet metal ductwork and components for HVAC systems in residential commercial and
industrial settings. The HVAC Fabricator will ensure all work is performed to the highest
standards of quality accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication: Measure cut bend and shape sheet metal to create ductwork fittings
and other HVAC components according to specifications and blueprints.
Assembly: Assemble fabricated parts using tools and machinery ensuring proper fit and
alignment.
Customization: Customize ductwork and components to fit unique installations and
specific project requirements.
Installation: Assist in the installation of fabricated ductwork and components on job
sites ensuring proper connection and sealing.
Equipment Operation: Operate hand tools power tools and fabrication machinery
safely and efficiently.
Quality Control: Inspect completed work for accuracy quality and compliance with
industry standards and project specifications.
Material Management: Manage inventory of materials ensuring adequate supplies are
available for fabrication projects.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations ensuring a safe
work environment for yourself and others.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and
specifications to determine job requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with HVAC technicians installers and other team members
to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment and tools to
ensure optimal performance.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed including
measurements materials used and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC Fabricator or in a similar role within the
HVAC industry.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems sheet metal fabrication
techniques and industry standards.
Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools power tools and machinery for sheet metal
fabrication.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects work in confined spaces and perform
physically demanding tasks.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in measurements and
fabrications.
Communication: Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
environment.
Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering
to safety protocols.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in HVAC or sheet metal fabrication are a plus.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in HVAC or sheet metal fabrication
preferred.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in fabrication shops and on various job sites including construction
sites residential homes and commercial buildings.
May require working in confined spaces at heights and in varying weather conditions.
