Description

Position Title: Enrollment Advisor
Department: Admissions
Reports to: Director of Admissions
FLSA Classification: Exempt

Hours: Minimum of 40 per week (hours may fluctuate during peak travel seasons)


Position Summary: The Enrollment Advisor builds relationships with prospective students and guides them through the admissions process from inquiry to matriculation. This role combines goaldriven recruitment efforts with personalized student support to ensure applicants receive the information and guidance to make informed decisions about their seminary education. Key responsibilities include networking recruitment travel applicant counseling event coordination as well as collaborating with internal and external partners to strengthen enrollment efforts and support the mission of the institution.

Essential Functions

Networking & Student Recruitment

  • Develop and maintain relationships with alumni pastors educators and ministry leaders to generate prospective student leads.
  • Travel regionally and nationally approximately 30 of the year to attend conferences visit partner institutions and expand recruitment opportunities.
  • Execute strategic outreach efforts to meet and exceed enrollment goals.
  • Uphold ethical standards confidentiality and inclusivity in all interactions.
  • Strengthen relationships with key institutional partners and alumni to increase brand awareness and student referrals

Prospective Student Counseling & Admissions Support

  • Guide prospective students in discerning their calling and selecting degree programs.
  • Assess applicant qualifications in coordination with the Graduate Admissions Committee.
  • Maintain timely personalized communication via phone email and CRM (e.g. Slate).
  • Assist students in understanding institutional policies financial aid and program requirements.
  • Provide oneonone counseling to ensure applicants meet deadlines and understand next steps.

Event Coordination & Campus Engagement

  • Support and assist with oncampus and virtual recruitment events including Experience Asbury Days open houses and preview weekends.
  • Engage in calling campaigns and outreach initiatives to prospective students.
  • Represent Asbury Seminary at denominational ministry and academic events to increase enrollment opportunities.

Partnership Development & Institutional Representation

  • Develop and strengthen partnerships with alumni faculty churches and ministry organizations.
  • Serve as a liaison for external partnerships to expand recruitment networks.
  • Support strategic initiatives to grow the enrollment pipeline.
  • Provide training and mentorship for new admissions staff.
  • Collaborate with Financial Aid Student Services and other departments to ensure a seamless enrollment process.

Enrollment Strategy & Data Management

  • Track and analyze recruitment and enrollment trends to refine strategy.
  • Utilize Slate CRM to document student interactions update records and generate reports.
  • Ensure smooth transitions between admissions and academic advising.
  • Implement best practices for recruitment.
  • Participate in training and professional development related to enrollment management.

Other Duties or Responsibilities as Assigned

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience in higher education admissions recruitment or enrollment management preferred.
  • Strong networking relationshipbuilding and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Slate preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel extensively including evenings and weekends.
  • Highly organized detailoriented and able to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet enrollment goals in a fastpaced environment.
  • Selfmotivated solutionsoriented and a strong team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Works well under pressure with ability to adapt quickly.
