Position Summary
The University of Nebraska Medical Centers College of Public Health in collaboration with Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center Eppley Institute and Child Health Research Institute seeks to recruit a faculty member with expertise in cancer and environmental health research. We are particularly interested in candidates specializing on research fields focused on the exposome geneenvironment interactions environmental epidemiology environmental mixtures environmental epigenetics chromatin regulation DNA repair cell signaling and chemical carcinogenesis.
Required Qualifications
The academic qualifications for this Cancer and The Environment faculty position include: Doctoral Degree : A Ph.D. M.D. or equivalent in a relevant field such as Cancer Biology Environmental Health Epidemiology Genetics or a related biomedical or public health field. Postdoctoral Research Experience : Strong preference for candidates with postdoctoral experience or equivalent advanced research training in cancer and environmental health sciences. Research Funding Record : Demonstrated success in obtaining research funding with emphasis on funding record appropriate for faculty rank. Publications : A strong publication record in areas related to cancer and environmental interactions such as geneenvironment interactions environmental epidemiology or chemical carcinogenesis. Collaborative Experience : Proven ability to work within interdisciplinary teams ideally with experience in collaborative projects involving public health cancer research and environmental sciences.
