The LoyalistCountry Inn and Conference Centre
The Loyalist Country Inn and Conference Centre is a fourstar independent hotel overlooking scenic Summerside Harbour in Summerside Prince Edward Island. The hotel features 82 clean comfortable and fully appointed rooms an indoor pool fitness centre business centre 24hour front desk and an onsite restaurant/lounge offering room service. Prince Edward Island is known around the world for its sandy beaches rich culture and diverse culinary offerings. The City of Summerside has all those things and more. As a General Manager You Will
The General Manager oversees all aspects of operations at the Loyalist including guest service standards front desk housekeeping maintenance finances sales & marketing team leadership and staff development. The General Manager must demonstrate outstanding leadership managing and mentoring team members. They must be able to delegate responsibilities organize complex projects and establish priorities consistent with Murphy Hospitality Group objectives.
The Duties
- Oversee the successful running of the hotel working to achieve the financial marketing and human resource goals and objectives as set by Murphy Hospitality Group
- Oversee the Reservations Desk Food and Beverage Housekeeping and Maintenance
- Direct and control the activities of the front office reservations and guest services to ensure adherence to the standards policies and procedures of the hotel
- Continuously set up the team to provide 100 guest satisfaction
- Work with the Director of Hotel Sales to develop a strong sales strategy to maximize room revenue
- Establish relationships with guests and major corporate and government clients
- Assist in the hiring of team members in coordination with the hiring processes of MHG
- Display a high degree of professionalism and integrity in the daytoday management of the hotel and administrative duties as specified
- Ensure the quality of guest service at every touch point meets or exceeds MHG standards
- Oversee the safety and security of the hotel; the employees guests vendors and the public

What You Bring
- 5 years experience in guest service
- Previous Hotel Management experience particularly within a large property an asset
- Experience in leading training and developing team members
- Experience with hotel operating systems and channel management software an asset
- Strong Financial Management knowledge and experience.
