Today Collins is an ENR Top 500 Design Firm that continues to grow our multidisciplined offices by providing design and analysis services coupled with field experience in the transportation marine construction and land development industries. Collins is seeking a highly motivated selfstarter to join our team as anEntryLevel Engineerin ourLansing Michiganoffice. This role offers a great opportunity for a driven professional who is looking for career growth with a company pushing forward in the industry. This position is a mix of office and fieldwork with some statewide andlocal travel. We offer plenty of opportunities for growth with the targeted expansion of our Michigan team. Current expansion for the state of Michigan is being led from our Lansing MI office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform design and inspection/field work that does not require previous experience.
- Assist in the completion of inspection and assessment reports.
- Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
- Keep project managers informed of workload and any changes to project scope or additional services.
- Use computerassisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare calculation packages and design drawings.
- Is active in technical societies.
- Is able to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
- Has limited communication with clients.
- Instruct draftspersons/technicians on design drawings data entry and report preparation.
- Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree in civil Engineering from an accredited fouryear university plus appropriate continuing education
- Between 04 years of experience.
- EngineerInTraining (E.I.T. certification or ability to obtain within one year.

While in the field the employee may be required to walk in rugged conditions work in adverse weather conditions and stand up to eight hours or more at a time.
