Job Description
Kepak is a global food company serving international retailers and food service household names with prime cuts of meat ontrend food concepts and readyformarket convenience foods.
Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfilhas combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers counters to branded packaged meat all as part of our service; raised on open pastures sourced from local farmers and handselected by our master butchers we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We are pleased to be recruiting for a Packing Operator to work in our busy Beef Slaughter department on an afternoon/twilight shift.
The position is full time and permanent working 12.00pm until 10.00pm Monday to Friday with a salary of 11.94 per hour.
This is a great opportunity to develop a career within this large manufacturing organisation supported by our broad range of training options.
No experience is required as full training will be given.
You will need to fully understand how your role impacts on the effective operation of the line and to identify improvements to the ways of working.
Please note you will be working in an area with raw meat and blood you will be directly handling meat portions.
Requirements
Job Details:
- Check the cuts of meat to ensure that they are in line with specifications.
- Arrange meat in packaging complying with display requirements.
- Ensure that the pack weight is correct.
- Reject any items including packaging and meats that look to be outside of our quality specifications.
- Adherence to Health and Safety rules and procedures including correct wearing of issued PPE.
