Job Description
The duties below are representative of the duties of the classification and are not intended to cover all of the duties performed by the incumbent(s) of any particular position. Provide instruction in Medical Billing and Coding ICD 10CM 2. Overall coding including hospitals ambulatory services and clinical specialists 3. Implement skill building in medical billing and coding 4. Prepare class assignments and course work; grade student work; record and post grades in a timely fashion; report to the lead instructor as needed; consult with students during regularly scheduled office hours 5. Participate in team department and division meetings; assist in curriculum development and revision; perform other duties as required by contract collective bargaining agreements and general institutional needs
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a Bachelors degree AND two years of medical billing and coding experience OR an Associate degree AND six years of medical billing and coding experience OR the equivalent (see below) Demonstrated cultural competence sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff
