Job Description

Overview

Our Minneapolis office is seeking a detailoriented and proactive Litigation Administrative Assistant to join their team! This candidate will provide a highlevel of administrative support in handling various complex commercial civil and defense litigation matters.

A Day in the Life

As the Administrative Assistant you will provide highlevel legal and administrative support to Partners Associates and Paralegals. You will prepare revise and finalize correspondence pleadings documents and other clerical assignments as delegated. Additionally you will maintain attorney calendars make travel arrangements and process monthly expense reports. You will run conflict checks open new client/matter engagements maintain electronic and paper client files and set up billing requirements for clients.

Your responsibilities will include entering attorney time in the time entry system filing documents with appropriate courts (including efilings) scheduling depositions and other client meetings and communicating with clients as necessary. You will also assist with billing and client invoices and maintain and update contacts.

We Know You

The ideal candidate will have recent State and Federal litigation experience within a law firm particularly in CA. They must be able to work in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines and handle unscheduled events that may require changing priorities. The candidate must have strong writing and communication skills to interact effectively and professionally with employees clients and attorneys. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products strong typing skills and excellent proofreading skills are required. Experience with a document management system docketing system billing and time entry programs is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a selfstarter with proactive work habits.

At Nelson Mullins we are dedicated to transparent and fair compensation practices. Pay for this position is determined by factors such as experience skills and location.

  • Salary/Wage Range: $70000 $90000 annually

In addition to base pay employees may be eligible for meritbased raises and benefits such as healthcare retirement plans and paid time off.
