Job Description
A head high school basketball coach is responsible for the basketball program including training recruiting and managing the team. They also help athletes develop discipline sportsmanship and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Training: Teach basketball skills and techniques to athletes
- Scheduling: Set practice dates and schedule games
- Team management: Coach players supervise assistant coaches and determine playing time
- Team development: Help athletes develop character and become leaders
- Communication: Communicate team rules and regulations and conduct parent meetings
