Experience a summer of Big Dreams Big Possibilities! Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines seeks dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to be part of our 2025 Summer Camp Team at Camp Mary Atkinson Selma NC.

We have openings for Cooks for our residential (overnight) camp at Camp Mary Atkinson located in Selma NC.
Position: Cook
Location: Camp Mary Atkinson Selma NC
Duration: Summer 2025 (MayAugust)
Compensation: Hourly rate of $17.00 per hour including housing (optional) and meals after training.

Heres how it works:
- $250 MidSummer Bonus: If hired you will receive this at the end of June.
- $250 Completion Bonus: Earn this at the end of summer camp completion.
Day in the Life:
- Food Service Management: As a cook you will assist the Kitchen Supervisor in providing nutritious wellprepared meals which are served to all campers and staff.
- Nutrition: Ensure campers receive delicious and nutritious meals.
- Sanitation and Security: Maintain the highest standards of food safety and kitchen security.
- Customer Service: Delight campers with topnotch service and unforgettable dining experiences.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Desire to work in the food service area.
- Knowledge of standards of food preparation and serving storage of food and kitchen procedures.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of current health and safety laws and practices is essential.
- Knowledge of and experience in the preparation of special dietary foods including vegetarian foods.
- Knowledge of food service sanitation.
- Commitment to the aims and purpose of the Girl Scout movement.
Physical Aspects of the Job:
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds including unloading food supplies and equipment as needed.
- Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards of the site and facilities and camper and staff behavior.
- Physical ability to operate kitchen equipment according to safe recommended methods.
- Physical mobility and endurance to perform tasks while standing/walking for long periods of time 60 minutes or more).
- Ability to provide first aid and assist campers and staff in an emergency.
- Determine cleanliness of dishes food surfaces and kitchen area.
- Ability to assess the condition of food.
