ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
The Community Engagement Project Lead is a contractor role working closely with the City Corps National Expansion Team to facilitate and manage Future Readys Talent Pipeline Logic Model process with UP Partnership community members. The successful contractor will play a key role in supporting community partners in bringing together community voices to create an inclusive thoughtful and intentionally designed Talent Pipeline Logic Model to guide equitable talent growth across the Future Ready ecosystem in support of Future Ready Bexar Countys 2030 Plan.
By 2030 we will increase the percentage of Bexar County High School graduates enrolling in a postsecondary degree or credential program to 70 AND advance three equity pillars essential for young peoples success in and out of school: healing access and voice.
UP Partnership is the backbone organization for the plans implementation and serves as the primary convener and centralized support center in deep partnership with over 175 partner intermediaries school districts colleges and universities youth development nonprofits philanthropic and business organizations and local government. With a commitment to developing a strong talent pipeline that recruits retains and supports highquality youth development professionals every single partner institution has pledged to actively partner with other sectors to grow and retain the studentserving workforce in their Partner Agreements.
City Corps has partnered with UP Partnership to facilitate the codesign of the Talent Pipeline Logic Model alongside community members and stakeholders which identifies critical talent needs to support Future Readys successful plan implementation.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a San Antoniobased Community Engagement Project Lead who is a skilled project manager and facilitator with experience building trustbased relationships in and with local community members influencers and leaders. Peoplecentered and motivated to find innovative solutions the San Antonio Community Engagement Project Lead will work alongside UP Partnerships community members and stakeholders committed to the Future Ready North Star by providing project coordination facilitation relationship building and community engagement management. The Project Lead will successfully facilitate and deliver a final and actionable Talent Pipeline Logic Model to align with Future Readys plan. Along with a getthingsdoneattitude the Project Lead will bring a strong commitment to children and families a commitment to equity and racial justice an assetbased mindset and a deep connection to San Antonio and Bexar County. The Project Lead will support partners with connecting and engaging residents and community members helping to facilitate an inclusive and communitycentered approach to execute a Talent Pipeline Logic Model process that will guide the next few years of equitable talent growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support City Corps and UP Partnership through community engagement team to execute a communityled logic model process.
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to leverage the voice and leadership of residents and community stakeholders.
Work with partners to coordinate and facilitate meetings community events and training (inperson and virtual) with a focus on executing the development of a strong logic model that will guide the next few years of talent strategy for UP Partnership.
Serve as the lead point of contact between City Corps and Up Partnership managing ongoing communication and logistics
Perform administrative tasks such as recordkeeping contact management etc.
Work with Future Ready partners to coordinate regular proactive and responsive correspondence with residents nonprofit organizations and other stakeholders.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Five 5 or more years of relevant work experience or coursework equivalency required preferably in the field of education facilitation social impact project management community engagement and coalition building.
Lived experience in San Antonio with background leading or participating in community engagement and neighborhood partnership work preferably in San Antonio and/or in neighborhoods that have historically experienced disinvestment for related engagement work required.
Exceptional facilitator with ability to validate organize and synthesize ideas and information into thoughtful and accessible content.
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of constituents and managing complex projects across partnering organizations.
Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and inclusion; valuing lived experience multicultural intelligence appreciation and respect.
Demonstrated interest and commitment to community initiatives resident engagement nonprofit or mission work.
Strong public speaking skills and ability to communicate respectfully and effectively verbally and in writing.
Exceptional listening and communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate engage and listen to residents colleagues and stakeholder groups.
Ability to attend coordinate and provide support conveyings and meetings outside of typical work hours.
TIMELINE AND COMPENSATION
This is a 6 month contract role starting August 2023 through December 15 2023
$75 per hour 40 hours per month
