We are looking for a compassionate caregiver/CNA to join our growing team! The right candidate has a cando attitude a friendly demeanor and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients. Caregivers are responsible for providing assistance to residents in areas such as mealtime bathing and preparing for the day and evening. This position also provides encouragement to residents in such areas such as selfcare and socialization.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the complete care of residents.
Responsible for changing residents soiled briefs.
Escort residents to and from meals activities appointments etc.
Assist with showers and bathing.
Provide appropriate safety checks.
Provide light housekeeping of resident homes.
Prove and assist with oral care.
Assist with wound care as directed.
Assist residents with feedings and tube feedings.
Set up residents meals.
Encourage hydration of residents as needed.
Encourage socialization of residents and host activities.
Assist residents as needed and as directed by management and floor supervisor.
Will assist in the dining room during mealtimes and will assist with set up/clean up taking meal/beverage orders serving bussing tables etc.
Responsible for getting residents ready and to the lobby for scheduled internal and external appointments and activities.
Will assist with washing drying folding and returning laundry to the correct resident/location.
Will be trained on and aware of what constitutes a change in condition and report any suspected change to Floor Supervisor/Wellness Director.
Comply with Residents Rights policy and Community and Employee Policies and Procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Enjoy working in a communal setting eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform jobrelated duties
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation every single day
Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
Available to work different shifts including nights and/or weekends
Prior experience in a healthcare hospitality or inhome care environment (minimum of 1 year preferred)
Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
Supportive and compassionate
High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver CNA or HHA or completion of a CNA Program
Take pride in providing high quality care
Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
