TMD Staffing is looking to hire an Sheet Metal Fabricators in Houston TX 77075!
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Warehouse Environment
JOB REQUIRMENTS AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Read a measuring tape
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Operate machinery such as shears brakes and presses.
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal sheets.
- Cut bend and shape metal sheets to specified dimensions.
- Assemble and weld metal parts as required.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain and clean equipment and work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues.
- Maintain inventory of materials and supplies.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide input on process improvements.
- Train and mentor junior fabricators.
- Document work processes and maintain records
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Experience with various metalworking machinery.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials.
- Problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
- Welding certification is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and learning
PAY RATE
$16.00 per hour DOE
SCHEDULE
MondayFriday 8:00am5:00 pm
