Overview
Seeking a new career challenge Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring an EngineeringTechnician III to join our dynamic Geospatial team at our Bay St. Louis (Stennis) Mississippioffice. This position reports to the Discipline Leader II and is responsible for advanced technical tasks including complex fabrication assembly and full system testing. Qualified candidates will be proficientin using testing equipment and tools for electronic optical and thermal systems.
Responsibilities
As an EngineeringTechnician III at Woolpert you will:
- Perform advanced fabrication and assembly tasks for electronic optical and thermal systems.
- Conduct detailed testing and troubleshooting of electronic optical and thermal components and systems.
- Develop and follow detailed procedures for the assembly testing and maintenance of systems.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and implement testing protocols and procedures.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on system performance.
- Maintain and manage inventory of components and materials.
- Provide technical support and guidance tojunior techniciansand other team members.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all tasks.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- An associates degree or apprenticeship in a related field or must have High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five 5 years of relevant experience
- 35 years of electrical optical thermal general systems experience Preferred.
- Proficiencyin using testing equipment and tools for electronic optical and thermal systems.
- Strong understanding of procedures and protocols for system assembly and testing.
- Ability to read and interpretengineering technicaldrawings and schematics.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellentcommunicationskills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or technical training in electronics optics or thermal systems is preferred.
Other Considerations:
- Experience withaircraftpositioning and handling.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and inventory management.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a technical environment.
- You thrive working in a fastpaced highly driven environment and can adapt quickly to changing conditions and priorities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- A team player who is confident respectful curious flexible and able to work with other professionals in a growing successful and respected business.
- Must read and interpret documents like safety rulesoperatingand maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
- Must be able to write clear and concise reports and correspondence.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require working in various environments including laboratories field sites andaircrafthangars.
- Some travel may berequiredfor field testing and operational support.
Resulting Physical Qualifications:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able tooperateand manipulate standard office equipment.
- Must be able to occasionally reach bend climb and/or balance.
- Must be able tofrequentlylift and/or move 10 to 50 pounds.
- Must have visual abilities of close vision distance and color vision peripheral vision depth (stereo) vision and the ability to quickly adjust focus.
