Position Overview

The Novelis Bay Minette AL team is seeking Shift Supervisors to lead highperforming teams to ensure safe efficient and quality operations. This role champions a zeroinjury culture enforces safety and compliance fosters a positive workplace and drives productivity through effective of the manufacturing plan. The supervisor collaborates with crossfunctional teams to address quality issues optimize processes and promote continuous improvement. This is a handson leadership role in a fastpaced environment requiring strong problemsolving communication and team engagement skills.

Responsibilities:

• Safety & Compliance: Champion a zeroinjury culture by enforcing EHS policies driving safe behaviors and leading accident investigations and safety observations.
• Culture & Engagement: Model Novelis cultural beliefsBe Open Build Trust Say Anything and Be Authenticwhile fostering a positive accountable work environment.
• Productivity & Operations: Coordinate shift priorities with leadership to meet safety quality throughput and cost objectives. Oversee of the manufacturing plan and ensure adherence to plant rules.
• Quality & Process Control: Engage with Technical Process and Supply Chain teams on quality issues conduct audits and drive continuous improvement in quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote problemsolving and daily management best processes ensuring ongoing enhancements in safety efficiency and team performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; BS or Technical Degree preferred.
• 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in manufacturing systems and MS Office.
• Ability to multitask in a fastpaced setting with flexible scheduling including nights weekends and holidays.
• Must hold a valid drivers license with a STAR ID and be able to travel as needed.

Travel Advisory:

Some roles will require traveling for training. Chosen applicants must be able to obtain a passport and have no travel restrictions. Novelis Bay Minette team will work with employees to obtain any required travel documents.

Novelis newly announced Bay Minette facility will be located 35 miles northeast of Mobile AL and 45 miles west of Pensacola FL and is expected to create approximately 1000 highpaying advanced careers in modern manufacturing. This highly advanced rolling and recycling facility will be the first of its kind. It will primarily serve our customers in the beverage can and automotive markets.
