The Credential Analyst for the School of Leadership and Education Sciences provides support to students in teaching and school counseling credential programs.
Under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Assessment and Accreditation the credential analyst uses independent judgment proactively identifies issues and makes suggestions for resolution. The credential analyst is responsible for providing school counseling and teacher candidates with information and guidance about credentialing requirements and to ensure that the University follows the laws rules and regulations of the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) specifically as they pertain to the school counseling pupil personnel credential and a variety of teaching credential programs.
The credential analyst audits reviews analyzes evaluates and processes applications for the purpose of recommending candidates for pupil personnel service intern and preliminary teaching credentials. The position requires the ability to troubleshoot problems make recommendations handle highly confidential matters and materials and be highly organized to manage time sensitive responsibilities. The credential analyst interacts closely with on and offcampus constituents. Additionally the credential analyst represents the school and university through contact with the CCTC and school districts. The credential analyst is often called upon to support outreach and recruitment events for prospective credential students including presentations at events meeting with students on an individual or group basis and maintaining uptodate information on the website. The credential analyst provides administrative support to the Director of Assessment and Accreditation.
The credential analyst is responsible for maintaining MOUs with community partners such as schools and clinics for the purposes of student teaching internships fieldwork placements etc. This includes tracking MOU expiration dates coordinating legal review of new language when needed proactive communication with community partners and facilitating MOU .

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience education and other factors including departmental budget.
