Responsibilities:
- Perform full inspections and repairson used vehicles including transmission engine electronic diagnosis wheel and tire.
- Inspect belts and filters and check air levels and gauges
- Write up service reports
- Communicate with the service manager to obtain needed parts for service repairs
- Road test vehicles when required to quality check work performed
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
- Testdrive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience at an automotive dealership.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic computer competencies.
- Positive friendly attitude along with a customer service mentality.
- Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively.
- Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications.
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Valid drivers license with a clear driving record.
- Willing to submit to preemployment drug screen requirements.
