Position Title: Math Tutor

Reports To: Academy Director

Location: Marion County Acceleration Academy

Employment Type: PartTime

Compensation: $20$24 an hour

Benefits: 401(k) with up to 4 company match after 3 months of service

Job Description: MCAA seeks a passionate and dedicated Math Tutor to support students in developing and reinforcing strong mathematical skills including algebra geometry and problemsolving. The ideal candidate will provide personalized instruction tailored to individual learning styles and needs for students grades 812.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree or actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• Background Check: Demonstration of a clear state and federal criminal history
• Certification: Florida educators license with a secondary Mathematics endorsement is preferred for this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess student mathematical proficiency for gaps in foundational skills.
• Conduct oneonone and/or small group tutoring sessions.
• Utilize existing instructional materials and techniques to enhance comprehension.
• Monitor and track student progress adjusting strategies as needed.
• Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
