Integrated Clinical Services provides quality health services for people who experience barriers to accessing care. The division operates medical and dental clinics outreach programs and provides health services in the countys jails and juvenile detention facility.
As an Advanced Practice Clinician you will provide professional comprehensive specialized nursing services with an emphasis on prevention of disease and promotion of health. The Advanced Practice Clinician establishes a therapeutic relationship with a diversity of patients including refugees and lowincome populations.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSA): Bilingual in Spanish and English (language testing may be required).
The Advanced Practice Clinician provides professional comprehensive specialized nursing services with an emphasis on prevention of disease and promotion of health. They establish a therapeutic relationship with a diversity of patients including refugees and lowincome population groups and create a work culture of respect trust and understanding for the highly diverse populations the Health Department serves in the office and in the community.
As the Advanced Practice Clinician other duties will include:
Perform comprehensive health assessments and clinical procedures by completing a physical and psychosocial history; identify actual and potential health needs based on medical behavioral financial and social factors; prescribe and dispense medications to patients; initiate and/or continue medical regimes for new patients.
Examine treat and advise patients on medical and behavioral health problems; make referrals to appropriate social or medical agencies; chart treatment records and monitor results.
Act as representative on committees interagency task forces special projects and other community outreach activities as assigned; provide consultation and education to internal and external partners and providers.
Analyze and review federal state and local laws regulations policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance; conduct analysis on best practices and trends and formulate recommendations.

Required Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:
Masters degree or equivalent in nursing from an accredited college or university
Possession of a valid Nurse Practitioner certificate
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon
CPR/BLS certification
DEA certification
Preferred Special Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles practices and procedures of general medicine and surgery;
Demonstrated knowledge of methods and techniques of diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and injuries;
Ability to effectively screen and gather required information in a professional culturally competent and customer service oriented manner;
Ability to motivate clients through discussion and persuasion;
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing;
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work;
Ability to be flexible and manage multiple priorities;
Ability to maintain composure and work objectively with clients who may be hostile or verbally abusive.
