Electromechanical Technician

Location: Mebane NC

Schedule: 3rd Shift or Weekends

We are looking for a dynamic and resultsorientated Electromechanical Technician to join our team at our Mebane Production Unit!

Key performance areas

The person in this role is responsible for the overall support of maintenance in the facility with primary responsibility for the installation of machinery and scheduled maintenance of production and other equipment within the facility. They are accountable for performing routine preventive maintenance and for troubleshooting diagnosing replacing or repairing damaged or defective equipment.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Installation troubleshooting repair and maintenance of equipment systems and controls within the facility.
• Diagnosing problems with PLC controls ladder logic microprocessorbased equipment mechanical hydraulic pneumatic vacuum and process ventilation systems.
• Identifying repairing or replacing damaged or defective parts on equipment.
• Preparing requisitions for spare parts and other required supplies.
• Performing routine preventative maintenance based upon maintenance schedule.
• Performing clerical duties as necessary for items such as work orders spare parts and preventative maintenance.
• Maintaining the work area to company housekeeping standards. Required to comply with all quality environment health and safety regulations and guidelines.
• Providing support during plant emergencies.
• Additional duties as necessary.

Competencies

• Must be able to read write and speak English fluently.
• Must be able to read and understand electric and mechanical circuits wiring schematics and systems.
• Must be able to interpret machine alarms and diagnose if a problem is with program machinery or operator.
• Must demonstrate good handeye coordination and agility.
• Must be able to operate hoists & other lifting equipment forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Capable of safely lifting 50 lbs.
• Ability to work from drawings or verbal instructions.
• Ability to travel globally if necessary.

Profile

You possess a minimum of an associate degree or diploma from a Technical College or Trade School. You have a minimum of 25 years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with PLC controls ladder logic microprocessorbased equipment motor controls relays circuit breakers machine & process controls & circuits desirable. You have a valid state issued drivers license.
