Job Description
Located on our historic campus in Towson Maryland Sheppard Pratt School and Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is a Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) approved level V nonpublic school. We offer a yearround therapeutic educational and residential program catering to youths ages 1218 with severe emotional and behavioral challenges. Our comprehensive program offers structured community and recreational activities alongside fullday special and general education schooling.
What you can expect
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a collaborative learning environment that supports the cognitive social and emotional growth of the youths in our care. You will:
- Provide appropriate instruction in a small classroom setting.
- Assist behavioral and clinical teams in behavioral management of students.
- Monitor evaluate and report on student progress.

The pay range for this position is $55000$80000 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to years and level of related experience.
What we need from you
- Bachelors degree
- A passion for working with adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral issues is strongly preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have or be willing to acquire a Maryland Educators Certification through a Conditional Certification Process. One of the following is preferred:
- Standard Professional Certificate I (SPS I)
- Standard Professional Certificate II (SPC II)
- Advanced Professional Certificate (APC)
