The University of Kansas Health System Department of Medicine is seeking a fulltime Internal Medicine Nocturnist who will join the team and support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care as well as satisfying teaching research and academic responsibilities at the regions quaternary referral center.
The position offers a dynamic opportunity to deliver comprehensive care on the inpatient service nocturnist team. Patient care is provided in shift scheduling shared equally among members of the group. The role also includes participation in call duties aligning with established practices for hospitalist services. There will be limited interaction with house staff in a supervisory and triage role. As an academic medical center and health system we offer full subspecialty support with closed ICU at the main campus.
Additionally there is a strong emphasis on scholarly pursuits including collaborative education and research activities with students and fellows. For those inclined independent research initiatives are encouraged.
Required Qualifications:
MD/DO or equivalent
Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine
Eligible for licensure in Kansas
