Salary Information:The salary range is $49911$109469 per the Faculty CBA Salary Scale. Teachers will be hired and employed in the highest category of teaching staff to which they are entitled in accordance with the degrees and certifications that they hold and the subjects and levels that they teach.

Job Summary:
Each Teacher Kindergarten/Nursery School is responsible for the education of the students in his/her class(es). In addition it is the role of each Teacher Kindergarten/Nursery to be sure that all students are safe secure and properly supervised at all times.
Functions:
To demonstrate the competencies and behaviors needed to improve student preparedness and mastery and to support the core values vision and mission of Rochambeau
To support the ideals and policies of the school and to implement the schools philosophy and objectives.
To assume responsibility for the education of the students in his/her class(es).
To teach the classes assigned by the Primary School Director. Integrate competencies goals and objectives into lesson plans. French National Curriculum and Rochambeau educational priorities.
To undertake other duties assigned by the Primary School Director.
To be informed about the aims and curriculum of the area in which he/she teaches. Appropriately communicates and interacts with other professional staff in academic planning and school committee work.
In light of these aims and curricula to select the lesson content and activities which are appropriate to the needs of each student in his/her class(es) in relation to the schools philosophy and objectives. The expectations for the delivery of these are spelled out in the appraisal documents.
To be aware that the appraisal documents encompass what is expected of teachers in relation to their teaching practices.
To maintain records of work covered by his/her class(es).
To maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate behavior that is conscientious and responsible.
To correct regularly and promptly all assignments completed by students.
To keep accurate complete records of the progress of each student.
To inform parents of students progress by way of report cards and where necessary letters or individual meetings.
To be available for all parentteacher conferences.
To attend all relevant meetings including planning meetings.
To be familiar with new developments and methods in the teaching of his/her field.
To ensure appropriate behavior of students in class and around the school.
To keep Primary School Director and administration informed about student absence lateness or discipline problems.
To maintain inventories of all textbooks and materials issued to students and to ensure the return of these.
To care for the classroom(s) in which he/she teaches. To ensure that the room(s) is/are attractively decorated and conducive to learning.
Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
The position requires a Titulaire de lEducation Nationale or a Bachelor (Masters preferred) degree in Secondary Education from an accredited college or university or have a teaching degree with a minimum of 3 years experience of teaching (in relevant group).
Orchestrate highly effective strategies material and grouping to involve and motivate students
Ability to analyze and chart data draw action and conclusions in order to leverage student growth

Skills and Abilities Required:
Native or near native French fluency.
Familiar with second language acquisition pedagogy.
High degree of cultural competency.
Strong knowledge of coteaching methods

Skills in building an equitable classroom community. Positively support the schools mission policies and practices and work collaboratively in a professional organization.
Able to use strong written and oral communication skills to transfer thoughts and express ideas

Familiar with Google Suite ability to learn and work with the schools integrated databased software package as needed.
